Introduction Students’ opinions about all aspects of academic life are now sought by educational institutions worldwide, generally, in the form of a satisfaction feedback questionnaire. It is this student satisfaction survey, within the context of student satisfaction in JRU Jose Rizal University. In the Philippines, Higher Education (HE) students were considered to be the â€Å"primary customers† of a University ,even before they were liable for the payment of â€Å"up-front† tuition fees. Students are the direct recipients of the service provided. As if to confirm this status of the â€Å"student as customer†, the Commision on Higher Education (CHED) has introduced a National Student Survey. This survey is aimed at first year students to seek†¦show more content†¦Why collect student feedback? (1) to provide auditable evidence that students have had the opportunity to pass comment on their courses and that such information is used to bring about improvements; (2) to encourage student reflection on their learning; (3) to allow institutions to benchmark and to provide indicators that will contribute to the reputation of the university in the marketplace; and (4) to provide students with an opportunity to express their level of satisfaction with their academic experience. The last bullet point as the rationale behind the survey undertaken for the particular research project described in this paper. Keeping customers satisfied is what leads to customer loyalty. Research conducted by Jones and Sasser Jr (1995) into thirty organisations from five different markets found that where customers have choices the link between satisfaction and loyalty is linear; as satisfaction rises, so too does loyalty. However, in markets where competition was intense they found a difference between the loyalty of satisfied and completely satisfied customers. Put simply, if satisfaction is ranked on a 1-5 scale from completely dissatisfied to completely satisfied, the 4’s – though satisfied – were six times more likely to defect than the 5’s. Decades of research on personality has uncovered five broad dimensions of personality. These so-called Big Five dimensions are called: (Magnavita, 2012) Extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, emotional stability and intellect. Extraversion is characterized by social ability, talkativeness, assertiveness and excitability. People who are high in extraversion seem to seek out social stimulation and love to talk to others. When people describe extraversion people they say they are full of life, energy and very positive. They are very assertive. When we talk about agreeableness we use the words pleasant, accommodating, empathetic, considerate, friendly, generous, helpful, trusting and honest to name a few adjectives. Agreeableness distinguish between people who enjoy working with others and are trusting, from people who are more competitive and prefer to work by themselves. Depending on your degree of agreeableness determines your likeliness to lead a team or to be led. Conscientiousness is the personality model that influences whether a person sets and keeps their long-range goals, deliberate over choices or behave impulsively, and take seriously obligations to others. Conscientiousness is a key in being successful. The personality model of intellect is the ability to identify, analyze, memorize, and categorize. Intellect (Fact) and Intelligence (Feeling) determine the existential course of one’s journey through life. Here is a relatively mundane illustration of how they work together. (Antonakis, 2009) The last personality model we are going to talk about is mental stability and the importance of it on the job. I have been told numerous times that I seem so calm even with children calling my name constantly, parents are wanting to talk to me and school politics are driving me a little crazy in my mind. I try to keep my outside calm, so I would like to know how I do this and how to keep it this way. Emotional stability refers to one’s proneness to negative emotions and anxiety. More resilient persons (high on emotional stability) are less prone to experiencing negative reactions. Emotional stability distinguishes individuals who are laid back and relaxed from those who are easily stressed and in touch with their emotions. People who are too stressed become impossible to market to because they filter out unimportant messages, but people who are too relaxed are also impossible to market to because they are not motivated to act on your message. Marketing therefore must follow a careful balancing act between a call to action that is too urgent versus one that is not urgent enough, and there is no single answer for everyone-it depends on an individual’s emotional stability. (Wang, 2011) Emotional stability is having a calm behavior, even if things go wrong or major pressure is on. It is the skill to control his or her emotional expression while still keeping the right mind to make rational and professional decisions. This is not an act but true calm. I have worked with people that you think are true calm and the smallest thing will send them over the edge. Teng, Chang Hsu (2009: 2088) states that a person having good emotional stability is less likely to display strong emotional reactions to stressful situations. Teng also adds that these people lean more towards being pro-active and successful in problem-solving. Neuroticism would be the other end of the scale where one will have the buoyancy to experience negative emotions. Neuroticism includes characteristics of excessive worry, pessimistic and low confidence (Bozionelos 2004: 70) When you look at workers who are narcotic they have a difficult time coping with stress or are on a bad mood most of the time under normal circumstances. Employers favor employees who are emotionally stable because they are dependable and can handle success and failure. Emotional stable employees will continue on with the work assigned, it’s important to help learning and understanding a task. When employees that are neurotic make an error or have a project that doesn’t work out their personality of emotionally positive or negative affects the outcome of their behavior. Emotionally stable individuals will learn from their mistakes, neurotic employees will develop a fear when they make a mistake. Neurotic employees choose alternative activities, often unchallenging work to take their minds off any errors that could relieve fear. This lets us know that emotionally stable employees learn from their own mistakes. One other part of having an emotional stable employee is they can make competent judgment calls even under the most stressful situations. It has been stated emotionally unstable employees will make decisions based on personal emotions rather than facts and logic. Emotionally stable nurses can be expected to achieve better nursing outcomes than emotionally unstable nurses. † (Teng, 2009) This article is about nurses, who have a very stressful job, so it can be used in more corporate jobs with stress. Even though emotional stability is one of the big five personality factors, there is some evidence that suggest external factors play a part in this behavior. Being unhappy or over worked in your job can lead to unemotional stability. It can cause work burnout and lead to negative emotions than we have neuroticism. In the article Ten et al. (2009) research has shown that emotional stability can be taught. And that there is almost no correlation between emotional stability across the years for the same individual (Hampson Goldberg cited in Teng et al. 2009). Knowing that external factors can cause instability, employers can find ways to increase job satisfaction. It is critical for managers to create an organizational environment that promotes the emotional stability of employees. There are many different kinds of leadership. Being smarter than anyone else is not what makes a good leader, more important is emotional intelligence. A good leader makes good and rational decisions for the teams they leave. Having control over your emotions is important for being assertive, gregarious, energetic, calm and progressive in a leadership role. Neuroticism in leadership will steer towards hostile and panicky attitudes which do not contribute in leading a successful team today. It is always important that the team leader remains calm and collected in order to keep the team composed; followers will be seeking for a stable point in the team and times of distress and the leader often times must assume this role. (Antonakis, 2009) Leaders who can manage their own emotions are able to direct their attention to prioritize events and handle issues in the order of importance. Dr. Wasilewski stated that leaders who are emotionally intelligent are able to successfully implement changes in an organizations. They understand their responsibilities as a leader and will take steps necessary to improve the team and will also make better judgments on the viability of a follower in the team. With the points presented, it is easy to conclude that a leader with emotional stability will make a better leader than one with emotional instability. (George, 2000) Eysenck was one of the first psychologists to relate biology to personality and has developed an extensive range of theories on many topics and published over 40 book. Eysenck believed that an individual’s personality traits are caused directly by a person’s genetic make-up. There have been many studies that support biological explanations of Eysenck’s trait personality theory: these include, twin studies and brain imaging. Eysenck made traits more mathematical, he gave a long lists of adjectives to hundreds of thousands of people and used a special statistics called factor analysis to figure out what factors carry the most weight. He took the results of this work and created a test called the Eysenck Personality Questionnaire. A low score meant you were introverted, a high score extraverted. Of course, this meant you could be halfway in-between as in fact most people are. The article I found interesting was from the Professional Psychology, Eysenck Personality Inventory. It explains the system Eysenck used to develop his Eysenck Personality Inventory (EPI). The total number of subjects employed in the series of investigations that culminated with the development of EPI exceeded 30,000. In addition to university students, use was made of various English middle class and working class groups who varied in age and sex composition, as well as of samples purported to be representative of the whole population of England. One of the main problems facing schools is finding the emotionally stable teachers. Though there is general agreement as to the need of more satisfactory selection of those young people who are to be encouraged to go on for the work of teaching, little has been done about it. † He also states, â€Å"Not only has there been little effort to select for teacher training candidates who are good prospects from the point of view of mental health, but there is some competent opinion to the effect that, is anything, present methods of selection tend to favor a type of candidate whose influence upon children in school is unfortunate. † (Carson, 2010) Everyone wants emotionally stable teachers, but finding ways to hire them is difficult, pay is low, work is difficult. The few schools that have programs of selection in operation have felt more confident of their ability to select for good teachers. I am having some issues at work hiring a new assistant in my classroom. I need one with emotional stability that I can count on and be positive because that is a big part of a teacher’s job is to be positive to the students, parents, and coworkers. To work with students it can be very stressful and you have to be able to handle issues in the importance of them. You have to be able to shift gears and always be ready to keep your students safe. You have to put your personal issues aside. I have worked with other teachers that are so involved in their own problems they forget to work for their students. Being a teacher is difficult and I have seen several teachers burnout. Our office staff is putting in place different outlets for the teachers to relieve stress and give us back our emotional stability. If parents don't send their children to work I am sure factories will not be able to consume them. Why poor parents feel children as their assets who will earn money for their home? Nearly 30% of population in poor countries are poorest of poor who are not even able to earn enough for one day food with big family have to largely depend on children to earn and feed. Parents of these children are mainly illiterate or semi literate are unable to find jobs, which can provide enough salary. Dream of education to children is impossible unless suitable employment opportunities made available to at least one person in the family. Simply by opening schools and providing books are not sufficient measures. We need to understand the reason behind child labour that is poverty and unemployment. Minimizing poverty and creation of more and more suitable jobs to parents are the only solution of eradication of majority of child labour problem. Smoke Signals Film Analysis Rising From the Ashes: A Tale of the Boys of Fire The movie Smoke Signals (Directed by Chris Eyre) tells the story of two boys, Victor Joseph and Thomas Builds-the-Fire, and their quest to get Arnold Josephs (Victors father) ashes from Phoenix, Arizona. But its really a story about life, death, and rebirth; life in the birth of the boys and their coming of age, death in the collection of Arnolds ashes, and the rebirths they both undergo along the journey. Thomas makes the statement that he and Victor are born of fire and ash; they are both born of fire and ash, and reborn throughout the movie through both fire and ash. Thomas being thrown from the burning house gives the allusion that he was born from flames. The baby Thomas being flung from the flames is a direct allusion to the phoenix myth, he was reborn when he flew from the flames. The fact that Victors father caused the fire in the first place and then saved Thomas also shows a rebirth of Arnold, because he saved Thomas out of guilt for starting the fire that killed Thomas parents in the first place. Arnold catching Thomas is the only reason the child survives, giving Arnold a get out of jail free card for starting the fire; only Arnold cant let it go and spends the rest of his life beating himself (as well as his wife and child) up about starting that fire all those years ago. Thomas tells stories about Arnold and everyone else on the reservation throughout the movie which are not necessarily true, but he believes every word of them. These stories almost always revert back to Arnold, the man who saved his life as an infant. Thomas idolizes Arnold as his savior, having gone through his initial rebirth with him as his savior. Thomas final rebirth comes when Victor gives him part of Arnolds ashes. Victor has finally realized that Thomas love for his father is a connection they share for the same reason; Arnold saved them both from the fire. Victor is reborn when he collects his fathers ashes from Phoenix (the name being an obvious allegorical reference to the tale of the phoenix), Arizona. Victor cant afford the trip to collect his father, so Thomas convinces Victor to let him come along in exchange for paying both of their ways to Phoenix. Throughout the trip, Thomas recollects stories of Arnold, all of which cast him as the hero and not as the villain Victor sees him as, however, each time Thomas tells one of his stories, Victor becomes angry and tells him to just shut up. Victor wants to hold onto the idea of his father as the bad guy, the one who beat him and his mother up and ran off when he was only a child, instead of the man who ran back into the burning building to save him (which he learns from his fathers neighbor while at the trailer park collecting Arnolds ashes and possessions). Once Victor is finally convinced to go into his fathers trailer to check for belongings that he may want, he begins the ritual of letting go, cutting his hair to signify the loss of a loved one. Another rebirth Victor goes through during the collection of his fathers ashes is when he is running for help after the wreck and collapses just as he reaches it. He has just run all night in boots, which were nt intended to be running shoes, and is nearly dead from exhaustion when he finally makes it to safety; but throughout his run he remembers the past and the things he has been told (the truth) about his father and the man he truly was. As he hits the ground he looks up in his feverish and nearly dead state to see his father standing over him, extending a hand to save him again (only this time it isnt his father saving him, its a construction worker he fell to the ground in front of). When Victor comes to in the hospital, he is a changed man. He has been reborn into a calmer, happier person, even allowing Thomas to tell his stories the whole way back home to the reservation without once correcting him or telling him to shut up. In the final scenes of the movie, Victor is spreading his fathers ashes in the river (Thomas had just given him the analogy of his father rising up as a salmon by his ashes being released in this way) and as he scatters the ashes, he screams; Victor is finally letting go of all the pent up emotions. All of his hurt feelings, anger, and resentment are released in the battle cry he issues as he spreads his fathers ashes. He has been once again reborn from his fathers ashes, just as a phoenix would. This final rebirth through ash is also given over to fire because as Victor is spreading Arnolds ashes, Arnolds neighbor from the trailer park, the one who found him, sets fire to his trailer in order to cleanse and release Arnolds spirit. This movie is a coming of age tale about to young men who share the common bond of a savior, though neither finds out until the end. Throughout the movie, the phoenix story is heavily referenced, from the burning building and the boys being saved from it in the beginning, to Arnolds trailer being burned down, to the final scene when Victor is spreading Arnolds ashes in the river. These boys have to take this journey to discover not only who Arnold was, but who they are. Thomas is born of fire, being reborn in the first fire that Arnold not only accidentally started, but then saved him from. Victor is born of ash, the ashes of his father, which caused the journey in the first place which allowed him to learn who his father really was and what he had done for him. The comparative study of Pygmalion by Bernard Shaw and Pretty Woman by Gary Marshall has enhanced my perception of the shared concerns of the two texts. The representation however, is altered by the differing political, historical and social context of the time period of production. Both composers have illuminated the central concerns of the transformations of their female protagonists; Eliza and Vivian from rags to riches while also exploring and criticising the social class division within society. Both composers convey their protagonists as working class citizens who are far from living their dream. Eliza in Pygmalion, a young flower girl who sells flowers in Covent Garden (a place where all social classes come together) is portrayed as a vulnerable, illiterate girl who reassures herself of being worthy of achieving her goals. This is represented when she states â€Å"Im a good girl, I am† as it shows that she has faith in herself and that she will do whatever it takes, for one day she may work in a shop of her own. In contrast with Eliza, Gary Marshall characterizes Vivian as a typical American prostitute. The scene introducing Vivian is set in her cluttered house illustrating her ‘trashy’ and unorganised lifestyle. Marshall uses dark lighting in the nightclub which gives us an overshadowing idea about Vivian’s life being dark and cynical and like Eliza, very vulnerable. Transformation is slowly taking place upon the two girls as Higgins and Edward are introduced into girls’ lives. Higgins helps with Eliza’s phonetics and pronunciation of speech. Eliza is determined to become a ‘lady’ after Higgins is dared to turn her into a duchess and gradually she learns the basics to becoming a lady. The first representation of her progress is at the ‘at home afternoon’ with Higgins’ mother. Here we notice that Eliza has learnt the basic traits of a woman but her vocabulary is not wide enough to keep a conversation. She gets rather carried away and starts to say inappropriate things, for example telling Mrs Higgins â€Å"My aunt d ied of influenza: so they said†. The concept of transformation also occurs through Vivian in Pretty Woman when Edward hires her for the week and she slowly retains a higher self esteem because he treats her with respect. He buys her clothes to improve her physical appearance and the first real test of her transformation occurs at dinner. She learns how to speak when spoken to and her manners but she still isn’t of high social standing despite whether she looks it or not. This is displayed when she tries to pick up her snail and it slips out of her tongs and she quite confidently but embarrassingly states â€Å"slippery little suckers†. We see eventually a great change in both women in the two texts from where they started off from. The end of the transformation for Eliza is in the last scene when she is at Mrs Higgins’ house after not accepting the way Higgins treated her. She now is strong enough to stand up for herself against Higgins and states â€Å"And I should like Professor Higgins to call me Miss Doolittle†. For Vivian, it is when Edward has to go back to New York and they have to end their ‘relationship’ and Edward says â€Å"I would really like to see you again† and then Vivian says â€Å"What else? You’ll leave some money by the bed when you pass through town?† It completes her transformation as she no longer will let anyone boss her around. Although both women transformed, there was still many aspects of them that would never change. Vivian still speaks her mind, as does Eliza because that’s how the girls were taught and brought up. Bernard Shaw uses language features in Pygmalion to highlight the journey and transformation of Eliza. Set in the Victorian Era, there is a large gap between working and high social classes and Eliza’s goal is to speak, walk, and look like a lady from the Up per class. The difference in the way the two classes speak is outstanding, with Eliza’s vocabulary reaching a maximum of a few words, Shaw conveys her as being very improper. This is established when she says â€Å"Ow, eez, yÅ“-ooa san, is e?† as it becomes clear that she does not speak very good English. Whereas Higgins, a member of the high class uses such vocabulary as â€Å"Not me Governor, thank you kindly† The main ideas and themes include the clear distinction between the social classes and how they respond and react when in the presence of another. The Victorian Era influenced modern society in how people were placed in a hierarchy. In comparison to Pygmalion, Pretty Woman was set in the 1980s America, which is a lot more modern than Victorian Era. Pretty Woman’s main themes consist of being highly sexualised, corporate greed and wealth. Like Pygmalion, there is an outstanding overarching hierarchy which separates the classes. Vivian is a prostitute in Hollywood which displays the sense of insecurities in herself and also the people around her. Edward helps her transform into a lady without her even realizing it. She speaks of very low concern and thought of others, using lines such as â€Å"I can do anything I want, I’m not lost† and â€Å"I can’t believe you bought drugs with our rent, what is wrong with you?† The transformation of the two girls is completed by the end of the text but it also shows that as much as they try to become members of the higher class, they will always still have the traits of the lower class. Overall, the two texts enhanced my perception of the social, historical and political values by comparing the two Eras and will always get good reviews because they contain a wide variety or circumstances.

Society is a judgmental and rejecting place. It only allows uniform individuals to be in this society which discards anyone’s individuality and pride. In the novel, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, by Ken Kesey, Nurse Ratched alienates the patients’ individualities which only allows them to never progress in their mental health. The society rejects the people who are not normal. In this case, the people are the ones with mental disorders. Kesey’s anti-establishment point of view against society portrays that the government misuses power to manipulate society which leads to the suppression of individuality through the literary devices analogy, metaphor, and symbolism. Ken Kesey conveys his theme by vividly explaining the â€Å"pecking party†. As one of the treatments, Nurse Ratched holds group therapy for the patients. During the group therapy session, McMurphy notices that the Nurse ignites all the conflict at first so he explains, â€Å"The flock gets sight of a spot of blood on some chicken and they all go to peckin’ at it† (Kesey 57). McMurphy is trying to explain the abusiveness of Nurse Ratched’s power. This analogy supports Kesey’s message of how society rejects and leads to the suppression of individuals. Kesey uses the chickens to represent the patients and the â€Å"first peck† would represent Nurse Ratched because she manipulates an individual which causes uneasiness to the patient which will never be the cure for one who is mental to get better. After McMurphy goes on about the pecking party, he says one more thing to Harding about the pecking party, â€Å"You want to know who pecks that first peck? † (58). McMurphy’s rhetorical question signifies his opinion even more. This allows not only Harding, but the rest of the patients to see how Nurse Ratched is just another person and how they should not let her take complete control over them. Kesey furthers his analogy after the pecking party image because it reveals and justifies who really does â€Å"peck that first peck†. This relates to the theme because Nurse Ratched represents the government while the patients represent society; concluding that the government continuously pecks at the individuals who feel that they are not a part of society. Overall, the pecking party is an analogy of how society suppresses one’s individuality because to be an individual one must â€Å"get better† like the patients attempt to do; but all they are doing are taking steps back due to Nurse Ratched. In One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Kesey demonstrates his use of metaphors through machinery comparisons to portray the theme of suppression of an individual. When Bromden characterizes Nurse Ratched he says, â€Å"So she really lets herself go and her painted smile twists, stretches to an open snarl, and she blows up bigger and bigger, big as a tractor, so big I can smell the machinery inside the way you smell a motor pulling too big a load. † (5). Bromden sees Nurse Ratched as machinery and not as a human being. This supports the fact that the ward is like a factory, just waiting to make patients into â€Å"products†. Kesey uses metaphor to compare Nurse Ratched to machinery because this describes her persona perfectly. Like a machine, Nurse Ratched is very smooth and calm about things at first but like every machine there are flaws. When Nurse Ratched meets her flaws, that is when things begin to go haywire like a machine. It can either breakdown or malfunction but it is always repairable. When Bromden has the dream about Blastic, he thinks â€Å"†¦I was looking to see – just a shower of rust and ashes, and now and again a piece of wire or glass† (88). The significance of Bromden’s dream is that it represents how the ward is inhumane because â€Å"a shower of rust and ashes† fell out of Blastic’s body instead of human organs. Kesey exemplifies metaphor through Bromden’s dream by explaining how society’s standards of being â€Å"accepted† can transform one to be inhumane and to lose their individuality. Overall, these comparisons relate to the theme having the machines represent a form of government, standing in the way, or suppressing, the individual, or society. This can support the main theme that society abuses their power to manipulate and suppress the individuality of others. Fog is used by Kesey to demonstrate them and to symbolize the aloneness and individuality of a patient. Bromden describes the effects of fog when he thinks, â€Å"I don’t have to end up at that door if I stay still when the fog comes over me and just keep quiet† (132). This explains how much control Nurse Ratched had over the patients. It demonstrates how something like fog takes away their individuality be they â€Å"just keep quiet†. The fog symbolizes a safe zone and aloneness for the patients because Nurse Ratched had so much authority over the patients that it was like a crib holding them while she was out. Kesey’s theme is supported in this because society takes away individuality as well as fog does. One characteristic they both share is the way they manipulate and abuse their power. Bromden also thinks about fog when he said, â€Å"You had a choice: you could either strain and look at things that appeared in front of you in the fog, painful as it might be, or you could relax and lose yourself† (131). Bromden describes how the patients were almost forced to be in the fog because â€Å"you could relax and lose yourself† and that the time that is all the patients really want. The fog also symbolizes a scapegoat for the patients so they don’t have to face all the challenges ahead because â€Å"you had a choice†. A simple break from everything, especially Nurse Ratched. This furthers Kesey’s message of how the fog is another form of control from Nurse Ratched, in which she abuses her power by manipulating her patients so they cannot get better. Ken Kesey uses analogy, metaphor, and symbolism to demonstrate how society uses their power to manipulate others which leads to a suppressed individual. He uses examples from the ward to compare the real outside world with a mental asylum. This world and society focus too much on how to fit in and it has become more of a moral thing to fit in than to be one’s self. Kesey blames it on the establishment that people are suppressed of their individuality, but is that really true? It has become a custom rather than a rule and that needs to change; and it starts from being a leader and an individual rather than a follower. The real story of individuals is not within the establishment, but it is within a person. To express that is to depending on the person and that is the problem in our society, no one likes to be that person to step up and be the first to go. The cost of quality in a manufacturing process and environment are many as you are aware. But the 3 primary costs that we should review on a more regular basis to assure we are creating the most cost effective and quality products are the following: Appraisal, Prevention and Failure, and failure costs should be looked at as internal failure and external failure. Appraisal costs can be defined as â€Å"The cost of activities designed to ensure quality or uncover defects† (Stevenson, 2008, p.421) Trade-offs of these appraisal costs are internal costs that are incurred when we stop production of a product to check for defects in production process, material, or any other item that causes defects. The cost associated with doing these inspections is looking for defects or issues during this part of the production cycle, other costs would be the cost of stopping the production line for a period of time, cost of additional inspectors and the testing equipment they will use for these tests. Prevention costs are another of the costs of quality and can be defined as â€Å"The cost of preventing defects from occurring† (Stevenson 2008, p.421) Prevention costs are the costs we pay to prevent defects during production of our products. Some of the ways we create these costs or trade-offs of having these within the manufacturing process is that we implement technology systems to help monitor the processes, working with our external material vendors to assure we are getting the best quality products to use and also by training our employees on how to properly use the material and machines to produce our products as well as paying more attention to detail during the design and production of our products. The final cost of quality that we need to look at is Failure Costs, and can be defined as â€Å" Caused by defective parts, products or by faulty services.† (Stevenson, 2008, p.421) These failure costs can also be split further out and looked at as Internal failure, or the failures that are discovered during the production process and are found by internal resources and External failures that are failures discovered after delivery  to the customers. Internal failures happen for a variety of reasons, defective materials, incorrect machine settings, faulty equipment, carelessness and others. The trade-off cost for fixing these types of failures would be cost of additional production time, scrap materials and rework of inadequate products, investigation costs into the root cause of the issues as well as workers’ salaries to not only do the investigation and rework if needed, but the salaries of the employees that are not able to run the production lines to produce items. The other failure cost is External and these are failures that are discovered by the consumer once they have purchased the product. These can carry a much higher cost when found by the consumers.
